REGISTRATION INFO 2023-2024

 

 

 

REGISTRATION FOR 2023-2024 will open for SPRING sports on 2/1/2024 and will close on 2/16/2024.  SPIRNG SEASON BEGINS on 2/26 with the exception of Girls Golf, Boys Swim and Boys Volleyball that BEGIN on 2/19.

 

The Athletic Department at Castle View High School welcomes you to one of the finest high schools in the nation. This information is intended to answer questions you may have concerning the athletic programs at Castle View preceding your first days on our campus.

DOUGLAS COUNTY DISTRICT ATHLETIC REGISTRATION PROCESS

The official start date for SPRING SPORTS is February 19 and February 26 (see above)Prior to being cleared to practice/tryout, each student athlete must have the online athletic registration forms completed, a physician’s clearance form uploaded, and the district athletic participation fee paid. 

Athletes will NOT be allowed to try out until all 3 things are completed:

  1. online registration
  2. physical signed and dated by the doctor and uploaded in registration (this can be uploaded into the registration system, paper copies are no longer accepted).
  3. payment on MySchoolBucks for the participation fee

Transfer Students: If the student has transferred from another school in the past 12 months, please see the Athletic Director or Athletic Secretary for further instructions.

Online registration for all Spring sports will be available on the CVHS athletics website beginning on February 1, 2024.  Please do not try to register for Winter Sports prior to February 1, 2024

The Douglas County School District requires an athletic fee for each sport/season of $200. 

All students homeschooled or enrolled in private or charter schools without a sport only who wish to participate in an CVHS athletic team MUST complete additional paperwork to register as a Castle View student for the purpose of extracurricular activities.  You will not be able to pay the participation fee in My School Bucks for Castle View sports until this paperwork has been completed and processed by the CVHS Registrar. To begin the Line of Enrollment for Sports Only you will need to fill out these CENSUS FORMS and email the completed forms back to Cari Gillespie, cgillespie@dcsdk12.org with a copy of your student's Birth Certificate, Immunization records and Proof of Residency, i.e. warranty deed or lease agreement.  If you have already done this for prior school years, you need to complete the forms and include only any updated records.

If you are interested in going out for interscholastic sports at Castle View High School, make sure you are familiar with the various programs offered and the procedures involved for registration and participation

 

CUT POLICY

Some sports will involve cutting students from a team. This is due to many factors, the most important being the safety and welfare of students. Other reasons are: limited numbers needed on a particular team, facilities and space availability, equipment limitations, lack of athletic ability, and individual coaching philosophies. 

 

Athletic Registration

Before the start of registration, have the following information available:

  • the sport(s) that your child will participate in
  • doctor and hospital contact information
  • emergency contact information
  • immunization, medicine and allergy information

 

First Time Users - Create an Account & Register

Note: If you previously created an account and want to add a sibling or new student, login to your family account. DO NOT create a separate account.

Create Family Account

  1. Fill out the registration form.
  2. Create a username and password for your family account on the checkout page.

Guidelines for returning users:

To register the same student:

  1. Login to your family account.
  2. Click the "Register" link (blue paper and pencil icon) and choose the “name of student” from its dropdown.
  3. On the next page, choose the “name of the student” from the student name dropdown. 
    Note: The form will auto-populate the answers based on your previously submitted registration. Please review and edit the answers if needed.
  4. Choose the activity/sport then continue and submit the registration.

 

To add a new student in your family account:

  1. Login to your family account.
  2. Click the "Register" link (blue paper and pencil icon) and choose "Register a New Student" from its dropdown. 
    Note: Fill out the form as a new registration.
  3. Choose the activity/sport then continue and submit the registration.
